My first refashion project! There is an amazing second-hand store in Antwerp: Think Twice. It’s difficult to find your way through the chaos, but when you do you can find some real treasures!
Last time, I have found a dark blue cotton apron. Like those old-fashioned aprons that they used to wear in Holland. I also found a huge flower skirt with intriguing fabric.
These two items have become a dress!
For the top I used a pattern from the sewing magazine La Maison Victor, Flo dress. It’s like a bustier to which I added wide bands that come together in a V-shape at the back. These bands didn’t even required sewing since they were already on the apron. To this top I sewed the skirt (after taking it in and shortening it, a lot). The dress closes with a zipper at the back.
Et voilà, new dress ready!
